Are we talking about spot sandblasting or something more than that?
Spot sandblasting - the harbor freight setup works as good as the next one. Key is having a big enough compressor to provide the CFM and pressure needed, and keeping your media as dry as humanly possible as well as picking the correct media.
I sucked it up and got a sandblasting cabinet to use for smaller jobs over the spot blaster I was using. Significantly better upgrade. It's just a HF job that I bought off some guy on marketplace for $40 and then fixed up but it is hella nice to have.
Still trying to mess with my other sandblaster to get it to work, it has won every battle so far. It's one of those 100 lb stand alone pot blasters from harbor freight. I don't recommend those at this moment.
