We're leaving a week from today. Very much looking forward to it.

Was hoping to find 6 tickets for Monday.

Know the three calf ropers from San Angelo, Dylan Hancock and the Harris brothers, Ty and Joel.

Weird not seeing either of the Crawley brothers in the top 15 saddle bronc riders. They have been a mainstay in Vegas for well over a decade.

Congrats to "Too Tall" on his first pick up man of the year award. Not sure if y'all know but he picked up with the late Rex Bugbee for many years. Those two together was the best in the business. I bet Rex is looking down smiling for his buddy.

I'm friends with Ty and Shane is local. My neighbor made the NFR a handful of times in his tie-down career so I've had to start following the ropers over the years.

I guess you're neighbors with Justin Maas? Dude was salty with a rope back in the day, most likely still is. Dont know him personally but my cousin Rusty Sewalt was going to the NFR around the same time as him so I remember him well.

Anyone have a list of the Aggies that made the NFR this season? Rodeo information isn't the easiest thing to come by.

I will be rooting for Ashley Castleberry in barrels, she is from Montgomery Tx

They make it so damn hard to watch it on TV. I've got YouTube TV so trying to find a different streaming app but coming up empty.

I'm going next week. It's a fun experience. Anyone who remotely likes that sort of thing should make it a point to go once in their life. And pay up for great seats…likely $500+ for lower level. But it's worth it!

And don't be a sucker that falls for a ticket scam and buys them from some crook on Facebook.

I love when Aggie Hunter, posts updates here with an insiders view. I can't imagine what this week must be like for that guy!

That's what I got. Rodeos every weekend and the NFR. It's worth it. My 3 year old loves watching the rodeos.

Thanks to Zeke we are headed to the buckle ceremony. Always nice to have a world champion draw you on night one.

With no past world champions in the bull riding the door is wide open. They sure brought their game last night for the spinner pen, but I just can't bet against Frost. Guy has been to close that if he stays healthy he will be hard to beat.

Always a good rodeo when you buck off more hazers in the bulldogging than you do in the rough stock. Now if we can keep getting through the opening ceremonies with no injuries.

I am sitting here catching up on last night and debating flying in next Saturday for the last day.

Aggies, Hailey Kinsel and Halyn Lide, are in the barrel race. Hailey, leading the world, won the round last night. 13.38 smoked the field. I thought I saw Matt Reeves hazing for someone in the steer wrestling.

Hailey also has the arena record that she set in 2017.

Just got to town this evening, trailered in since my daughter is in the Jr World Finals. We are here until the 15th but she and I are only going to one NFR performance, the 11th. We're both super excited, first time!

Congratulations on that win! I really enjoy keeping up with your posts and your stock.

I checked Stubhub yesterday for ticket prices. My observation is that prices drop a good bit closer to the performance day, and there are plenty of options. Buying early may not be the best deal.

It has been a good start to the week. Looks like round 3 won't disappoint.

Don't spend the kids lunch money but one should see the NFR at least once in their lives!

Here with work for RMEF and Cowboy Christmas. I'm not high enough up to get NFR tickets, but you can watch at any bar in Vegas.

Great event and I've had a blast on my first trip to Vegas.

They get $10k when they arrive. Just remember though they are staying in Vegas for 12-13 days too so that $10k don't go very far when you are talking hotels, cabs, food etc during your stay.

I will not say his name but about 7 years ago a contestant ask my wife and I if we could go deposit the $10k check in his account 1/2 way through the nfr because if not he did not have enough money to stay the whole 10 days. Needless to say that same guy ended up winning a pile of money that year before the nfr was over.
