Looking to buy a round hog trap. If you know of anyone who sells these, please let me know. I think the size I was was about 4x8. Not wanting remote control type just a slam the door shut behind them type. Thanks

Look into the round net traps. They work!

I just built mine with T posts and cattle panels. I found a saloon door online and use that with a funnel to the enterance I bait. I've caught a lot of hogs over the years. Quick and easy to build your own.

I had 2 of them made out of square tubing with panel wire on top and bottom. Light enough one person could roll them into a pickup or trailer. The door was offset a little to the inside. They worked so well eventually both were stolen…

A welding shop in the Winnie area used to make them and had a good design. If anyone makes them now I'd like to buy more.

That is exactly what Im wanting. If you can think of the welding shop in Winnie and they still build them please let me know. I need a few also, you said the magic words easy to move around.

I have built one and caught quite a few. Not as successful as a trap door trap, but they still work.

can confirm. my uncle farms in bell county and set one up and they got 63 or 64 the first time they set it....think its called the pig brig or something like that

pretty wild to roll up with a fresh box of 22 ammo and still not have enough

Edit to add the pic…..only one of the trap I had though.

I've looked at some youtube videos of the pigbrig too. looks great; but it's over $1,000 more than the simpleness of building a figure 6.

I just bought my land and I'm new to this; not sure how much of a problem the pigs really are - whether they're putting pressure on food sources for the whitetail and other wildlife or not - but the damage they do to the ground is really irritating every time i go out there. i see plenty of whitetail, hogs, bobcat, and a pair of coyotes everyday on my cameras and i don't even have any feeders or food plots on the land yet so I guess the presence of the hogs and predators is not doing too much to the whitetail. I really don't know... but I think building a big trap with my sons and dispatching a whole sounder would be good experience and count for the wildlife management plan for the tax exemption.

Rancher, if you need help let me know. My son needs FFA service hours and we would help you build if the timing is right.

theyre expensive but when the hogs are leveling 15-20 acres a night you have to get em as fast as you can,

im all for building one as one of my first hog trap memories was in the mid 80s in batesville where my old man and uncles built one that was about 30x30 up in the brush and we caught the crap out of them.
