Preface - I am not an avid off road guy. I could see myself becoming one after this weekend.

We spent the weekend here. Talked with a lot of folks and members of the board. Everyone was very nice. What a great place.

I can see it getting very popular, but right now, they need people to go out there. 4000 acres. Hill climbing, rock climbing, just nice 4wheel trails, etc. Campsites where full hookups - water, sewage and electricity. Stars everywhere.

I dont hunt anymore... nothing against it and spent more than my fair share in the woods. But sitting out there, by myself, quiet, no one else around... Helped fill something I was missing in my I didnt know was there.

I know everyone is busy with hunting right now, but if you like off roading keep this in mind.

The only negative I can say about the weekend is that it might end up costing me a lot of money. I got a side by side itch now.

I've been off reading for a while myself. I really need to get back to it. One of my favorite authors is Stephen Hunter. Author of "Point of Impact" which is a pure fiction, but loosely based on, or inspiration drawn from Marine Sniper Carlos Hathcock.

Point of Impact is an excellent read. I also really enjoyed "The Day Before Midnight".

Ugh... I just realized I got victimized by autocorrect. Obligatory ribbing noted and medicine will be taken.
