How long do you want to ignore this user?
Tomorrow I am acquiring a SCAR 17 in a trade with a friend of mine. He has put maybe 100 rounds through it. For those who have one, what .308 ammo do you use that has been the most accurate?

I've owned several and have thrown the dirty stuff through it and hornady through it. It ate whatever.

The gold standard for accuracy with factory 308 ammo has been either 168gr or 175gr Federal GMM with matchkings in it. The scar is a battle rifle so I'm not sure what your definition of accurate is but if it is around 2MOA at 100 yds then that is acceptable for that type of rifle. That being said, I haven't seen a scar NOT shoot that with pretty much any ammo fed through it, including nasty ball ammo.
