Where is the nearest place I can buy quail to release and hunt on my farm next to belton lake in temple, tx?
How much are live quail? If I'm going to set them out on 100 acres for 3 guns are there any specific strategies ? How many quail should we buy? Should I shake them up and get them drunk? Should I put out two birds per acre ? I want to work my English cocker spaniels one at a time (I have two) . Would also like to have a nice shoot.

Don't know where you can buy them. I would probably reach out to the local wildlife biologist with the TPWD. All I know is they will be all gone in a matter of a few hours to a day or two.

There are several places you can find on google and facebook, not sure about Temple, I get mine in east texas. They will likely average $7 per. It is very important to get good flight conditioned quail. This is the time of year to get them, they will run out and be reserved so get on them quick.
