Can anyone recommend some DIY gutter guards that actually work? I've had the Amerimax brand from Lowe's/Home Depot for years and they are garbage. I finally just ripped them out because they are designed so poorly that they almost immediately get clogged with pine needles. Cleaning the gutter or cleaning the gutter guard twice a year what's the damn difference. I noticed some nice looking ones on Amazon but I'm tentative to make the jump. I looked into the leaf filter brand but they are $$$$.

I know nada about gutter guards, but have been wondering about Leaf Filter, probably because of continuous TV bombardment. Leaf Filter, any good????

The LeafFilter brand looks good. I saw a display of it at Lowes. Pretty sure there is no DIY option though. THIS says the average cost of installation is $28/ linear foot. I need a little less than 500ft so it's pretty much out of the question.

I had the type that has the curled front edge so that water followed curl around but leaves dropped off edge of curl. Hated them. Not only did stuff still get in gutters, but you could not get your hand down in gutter to clean it.
Just ripped out and replaced with larger open gutters.
I don't mind climbing up on roof with blower.

Leaf blaster pro is the gutter screen I used on mine. They keep shingle grit out and keep leafs from sticking on top and blocking the water.

Costco has some solid ones for a great price that look like the picture above. Like he said, keeps crepe Myrtle leaves and blossoms out as well as shingle grit. Pretty easy install if your roofs aren't too high.

I bought 10' sticks very similar to the above from a friend of mine who's company installed our seamless gutters. I DIY'd the leaf guards on our barn build prior to the house, and they work really well on an overhang, directly under a huge live oak.

Easy to install and he charged me around $2/foot. I know nothing of this company but was searching for a pic of the profile. Good luck.
Pretty sure most of you don’t know me.
