I noticed there is a style with padded knuckles. Can someone explain the purpose of that?

I wore these almost daily in the USMC while in a mechanized vehicle and they were by far the best FR shooting glove I ever owned. Durability, dexterity, and the plastic protects knuckles in tight corners of turrets, engine areas, etc. I suppose they'd be good for punching people too, but I never needed to lol

I'd highly recommend the ones without knuckle plastic for shooting gloves. My guess is the right size would last for shooting use only for a long time. I still have a pair I wore almost daily, from 2008-2010.
