No photos, sorry. It perches on the chimney after the sun goes down and squawks repeatedly in a high pitched monotone. One squawk after another. Over and over again. Monotone.

Brother, I have an owl that sits on the top of my roof nightly. He fires up about 2am and hoots at his buddy working the other end of the street. I got so pissed I went out with a flashlight and when I lit him up he swooped down aggressively toward me.

It's his roof now.

Probably one of the nightjars. The Merlin Bird ID app would probably be the best way to identify it. The app can listen to the vocals and identify the bird by its vocal calls.

That's a pelican. You probably have a large body of water near your yard, perhaps a lagoon or an ocean or maybe even an estuary.

Indeed. He just needs better office hours and not be so damn aggressive towards the owner.
