Curious if anyone might know what this is. In front yard by the road. I noticed it start to wither last Friday and it was completely dead thst Sunday. It's not growing so figure I can rule out cinch bugs.

Neighbors across the street had landscapers mowing and fertilizing the day prior. Thought maybe someone spilled gas or chemical? Or maybe applied a crap ton of bug spray?

Other thought was dog piss, but usually that requires the dog to piss in the same spot over and over again before damage happens.

To me it looks like some kind of liquid was spilled into the yard and then drained downhill into the seam between the edge of the sod and the curb. Killing the spot it entered and anything the drainage touched in both directions.

Could be the start of Chinch Bugs right next to concrete surface and going outwards is a sure sign. Now is the time of year for them to start.

I'm betting some kind of chem burn. Chinch bugs in Bermuda is pretty rare

Definitely a chem spill of some sort. That pattern is a dead giveaway IMO.

Set some of your river rocks in the burned spot. They don't seem to have any trouble growing grass. Just kidding, envious of how good lawn looks. Nice work.

Did a Weed eater or edger leak some gasoline ? Looks like chemical or fertilizer burn

Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking? Also those live oaks are beautiful. Are those part of your property?

That might be from piss. Somebody might be urinating on your property for some reason. It could be someone trying to drive the snakes away, or it might be from a dog or a group of cats. Either way it's probably from piss.

I had a strange dead spot from engine exhaust from a parked vehicles. We get a crap ton of deliveries and they park in the same place each time.

Quit peeing in the same spot every time. Especially during periods of drought.
