going July 3-8

any tips on surf or bay fishing without a guide? any certain areas like sandbars etc

bought a drone to take bait out, what bait should i use? Croakers, shrimp?

should we use a steel leader? what about braided or mono?

fished at port A on the pier and caught some black tips...

Wade next to the convention center. I threw plastics and targeted sand pockets. Disclaimer - it has been about 8 years since I was there last fishing.

This. Throw soft plastics, topwaters, spoons, etc. Caught trout and reds there doing this.

Same on convention center.

I see a lot of whiting caught in the surf on lighter rigs. Maybe run a couple with shrimp or fishbites under your long rods.
