Anyone have a good way to kill Agarita. I have a ton of it at our ranch so the solution needs to be more than just digging it up.
Thanks to everyone in advance

We had some small areas we wanted to control and found when we were spraying *****ly pear with Surmount that it killed Agarita well.
Our biologist scolded us as the berries are a staple food for songbirds, quail, bees and many other critters.
My wife would harvest the berries and make great jelly out of it.
Our blackbuck and fallow liked the berries too.
Quail love it for cover.

Well I do have surmount and just want to kill it in the vicinity of the house so there will be plenty of berries left for the birds and the bees

Diesel/Remedy basal application kills lots of stuff.

Second that agarita is a good plant to have around if you you're stewarding for wildlife.

Where's the ranch? Outfits like Alfaro's Nursery might pay you to dig it up? Win win!

For real?! I've been grubbing with an excavator after work every evening the last two weeks. I've taken out some Algerita bushes that are almost 10' tall with a MASSIVE root ball on them.

Some nice hard yellow wood in those roots, makes some really impressive pistol grips or inlays.

I always thought it was a somewhat desirable shrub for wildlife.

Pop used to make some pretty tasty agarita wine.

I appreciate everyone's input. I agree that they are beneficial to the wildlife. I just want to get rid on the ones that are taking over my yard and oat field. After that there will still be thousands of agaritas here.

Also, if you boil down the berries the juice is a great add for margaritas!
