These require a WiFi connection and there is no audible alarm.

Every year there are posts about someone's freezer going out and losing a lot of meat and food. Hoping this might help some of you avoid that.

Thermoworks Node WiFI Temperature/Humidity Monitors are on sale for 25% off. I don't have one of these, but I'm a big fan of their stuff. I have 2 Thermopens, and several of their silicone utensils and hot pads.

Would like one for our garage freezer, but unsure how it works. Do we need wifi signal all the way out to the garage? Even with an extender, our wifi doesn't reach that far (it's a detached garage).

Yes, from what I read just now, you do need WiFi. Also, which I think is dumb, it doesn't have an audible alarm either.

Make sure you have WiFi where this will be used. Sorry for not catching that detail sooner.

Level-sense has a better feature set.

My Thermoworks gadgets are awesome, but wifi performance is always a bit iffy.

I'm using this one from Thermoworks. No wifi/remote notification but it has a loud audible alarm and the wife and I walk past it more than once each daily in our garage. The audible alarm can be heard in the house as well.

Works for our setup, but I can see the value in a wifi enabled device.

Don't have this model but have similar setup on my freezers and fridge. Unfortunately, my WiFi router (coming into my house) is on same breaker… so sort of useless
