Can anyone tell me anything about these pistols?

Limited research u can find says you can find pistols that are as good, but not any better. Website says you have to put a $1000 deposit to get one built and you cant just go buy one.

School me if anyone knows.

I had an Infinity open gun a long time ago. Gun ran flawlessly and I think they make some of the best looking 1911s and 2011s out there. That said, I agree you can probably get a gun just as accurate and reliable for a bit less. Not sure the Infinity price point today, but I have a Brazos Custom SMO (slide mounted optic) on order today and am confident it will shoot as good or better compared to SVI/Infinity. My Brazos limited gun is almost 20 years old and still runs like a champ.

They are nifty, and the replaceable breech face is cool.

I have about 70k rounds through my open gun, and it's held up very well.

Triangle shooting sports also builds great guns, and they are a bit cheaper, but not as sexy.

At one time, a larger down payment to SVI would get your gun built faster.
