One just came through here in town. Absolutely nuts. Golf ball plus size hail. Tons of rain. My truck was outside and completely destroyed. Wrecks in town. Power line poles are snapped everywhere.

What part of Bellville? My moms off Kuykendall and Mill Creek.
Edit to add: just talked to her. She lost some trees and parts of her greenhouse roof, but nothing major. Sounds like it went north of her and directly through town.

You are PROBABLY OK. But if you want to have it looked at, shoot me an email or call. Whether it's me or someone else, it would be prudent to put eyes on it. There is likely no damage at all. These maps posted below are good for general guidance, but they are generated by computer, algorithms, and some first hand reports, so fringes may or may not be bad. You might be truly on the fringe of .75" hail as shown here, or you may be miles from any hail at all.Build It said:
We are out near Nelsonville, I can't get there until tomorrow. Any idea if the hail hit there?
Your roofer should be helping you navigate this. A good project manager will know what items he should be looking at and talking to an adjuster about having them added to the claim. I will do this when I meet the adjuster, or if I didn't have the opportunity to meet the adjuster, I'll ask for it when the estimate and scope comes in from the insurance carrier. I make sure gutters, downspouts, screens, personal property, window beading....anything I can see or find. It doesn't hurt to ask and put it in. They may not approve it, but many times the do. If I get an extra 300 dollars for several things, then that adds up for the HO. I'll try to find an example I did recently.canadianAg said:
Anyone have tips on making sure we get the most out of our insurance? Not as concerned about the roof, wondering more about siding and fence damage from the hail dinging it up. Not sure if that is typically covered
