Messed around and jigged a couple slabs last weekend when we went cat fishing with the old man for his birthday. Headed back to give it an official try tomorrow……if I can just make it through this work day.

Not that I'll get down there anytime soon but would ya be willing to give some tips? Through PM if necessary. I've always wanted to try it there. Was my main duck hunting hole till the barrel sticker and mud motor brigade took over the lake. Never have fished there.

Only time I ever catch crappie is when I'm fishing for white bass it seems like.

I have fished that lake a lot. If the catfish are slow go to the deep water with slabs and catch gaspergou.

It was pretty slow this morning and we only boated 10. I am probably the worst crappie fisherman on the planet but all I do is one of 2 things

1 - jig around the biggest trees I can find
2 - jig next to the bank with steep drop offs.

That is better than most…
