Last week my mower shed flooded and my zero turn has water in both transmission pump/motor combos. These are serviceable, so I drained them and removed the filters.

I added fresh hydraulic fluid, let it sit, then drained again. There is still a good amount of contaminated fluid inside. What is the best way to get this flushed and cleaned without disassembling?

The mower is still under warranty, so I just want to get evidence of water out of pumps so that when they inevitably fail pre-maturely, the shop won't just say these are water damaged and not covered under warranty. I have not ran the mower since the flood, so hopefully the pumps are still able to be saved.

My Harley sat in 4' of water during October '18 flood on lake LBJ. I took it to dealer and they drained and refilled reservoirs twice. Then started to circulate twice they said. Zero moisture shows on dipstick so guess it worked. I still ride it.

See waterline on door facing and windshield.

That picture makes me sick at my stomach. Can't imagine the headache and heartbreak from a flood like that.

Lost truck, boat, 2 jet skis, A/C, irrigation pump, pool pumps, and every power tool on garage. I was here and able to evac all guns from man cave safe.

Yea cleanup was horrible. Insurance was good.

If some water has sat in there you have to flush it out by either replacing the oil until it is gone or using some kind of kidney loop system that can flush and filter it. If you took it to a dealer they would hook it up to one of their filter carts that would have filters for the particle contamination and a water removal element. This would probably cost you a few hundred so flush as much as you can out of the pump/motor and almost make sure the lines are flushed too
