Cool that DD bought the Hudson. I shot one a few years back and enjoyed it. I'll make the assumption that they fixed the problems before it hits the market.

TFB video on the Daniel H9 stated that the Daniel only shares one part compatible with the original Hudson H9 due to entirely re-engineering from scratch.

What is a gun like this used for in that caliber? Just to put it on the wall? I guess if someone tried to,come in the house you could unload on them

I have a Henry 30/30 gold plated lever action rifle a customer gave me a few years back.. it looks to good to shoot so I've never shot it. Probably not real gold either, but I don't know

People hunt whitetail with 44 mag. People also do cowboy action competitions with 44 mag lever guns.

Yea that Henry is not gold plated. It is called "Brasslite". It is a brass plated aluminum compound that Henry uses to give the shiny brass appearance with more durability and corrosion resistance than brass due to the aluminum component in the plating.

It's mounted on a Gray Guns P320 slide, so I'd imagine it's on a plate. It looks a lot like their 509 footprint, so I bet it can be a lot lower if the slide is milled for it.

Thats the cool thing about it. You are not going to destroy the finish by shooting it. It does not tarnish and corrode like brass. Shoot it, clean it and wipe it off with a good gun oil and your good! Have some fun with it.
