Just found out my in-laws had a small Yorkie get electrocuted yesterday (chewing on cord while electricity was out...until it wasn't). Dog got electrocuted and had to be revived. Was out for a few minutes they say. Any idea of what sort of internal damage they could be dealing with?

Also, if he survives I could use some new nickname suggestions. They named him Willie (after Willie Nelson).

I'm goin' with Smokin' Willie!

Sparky is obvious and still references Willie.

Did this guy revive him?

Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

They should just be glad they don't need a new chair after the incident!

Clark, I'd like to try to fumigate this here chair, it's a good quality item. If you don't mind my askin', how much did she set you back?

Good news is that since it's a Yorkie, you won't notice any difference in brain function before/after

Non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema could show up, they should watch for abnormal breathing.

My Dog Sparky recently ran right over a transmission line that was down in my yard. A few inches difference in where her foot landed and she would have lived up to her name.

This, and burn injuries with tissue necrosis of the lips tongue and palate. Worked on a few of those as a resident. Difficult to reconstruct and achieve healing because of persistent/chronic tissue damage.
