I got an ad on Facebook that intrigued me about growing shiitake mushrooms (I made the mistake of clicking on it, now I have half a dozen like it). Apparently they will grow in South Texas, and a little research showed a mushroom farm in the Valley. Anybody here do them (no, not those).

You could of sold a lot those this after the games! Just stand outside the stadium!

We grow mushroom, but it's legal in CO. Super super easy.

I've grown several times. Super easy, especially if you buy spawn.

Yes, but how do those cow patty shrooms taste?

Gonzales, Tx has a pretty large operation, Kitchen Pride. I don't know too much about them.

They have always sold mushroom compost and I plan to get a few loads once I build my raised bed garden.

I got to tour that facility. Pretty freaking amazing and they re-use/recycle a lot of stuff.
