What is the best thermal riflescope for the money? Looking for good value, decent quality, and construction. I know that they are expensive, but just curious if there is a mid grade unit out there that performs well for the money.

Rattler TS25-256 is what you're looking for. I honestly think this is one of those things where you either need to go big or go small. I have the rattler ts25-256 as well as a Pulsar Thermion XQ50 and although the Pulsar is a lot more clear at ranges of 2-300 yards, i'm hardly ever making that shot. The Rattler TS25-256 can easily give you good visuals of animals up to 100 yards. The step above the 256 is the t35-384 which is a little better picture and further range but is it worth the $1k? I don't think so.

If you're like me that only uses the thermal once or twice a year for fun the the Rattler TS25-256 is the way to go.

Just got my Rix Leap L6 in. It's sweet! I like the optical zoom on it like a traditional daytime scope a lot, love that the picture doesn't get pixelated like the digital zoom

. It's also the most economical 640 res with a 50 mm FOV there is from what I can tell. 5 year warranty and a 10 day turnaround on any repairs. Tried an AGM Adder and wasn't a fan of it compared to the L6.

Also looking into the Sightmark Wraith mini thermal as a handheld scanner/buddy scope. My friend has one and it's awesome!
