My wife and I live in her grandparents old house. Her grandparents were in the dairy business and there is a dairy barn with a bunch of old stuff in it. Anyway, I just found this old cooler in there that I think is pretty awesome. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a dent out of the front of it? Or do I just let it ride as is?

I'd aneal it and work it with a hammer and wood block.

Get a $20 dent puller kit from Harbor freight. My son was able to pull a few dents out of his truck using the hot glue method and one of those kits.

We have a some stuff like this in our barn. I'm going to go into the "leave it" camp.

You can push it back out a bit but it won't be perfect short of a professional restoration and to me, that looks worse than the dent. Plus, on some antique things I like the character of a well used item.

If I just had to make an attempt, I'd lay that front side down on a flat wooden work bench and use a rubber mallet with some mid sized blows to push the dent back out a little. I would NOT attempt to remove it completely because you won't get the crease out and it will look like a half hearted attempt.

What dent? Looks fine to me.
