Would like some recommendations to make a dent in squirrel population. I live in a semi rural town and work the swing shift. I would like to pop a few every morning without too much noise.

My RWS Diana .177 shows no mercy

.177 or. 22 pellet gun. My .177 downs rabbits and other pests digging in my yard easily.

Do you use a scope ? My eyesight isn't what it used to be.

Do you think it's quiet enough for backyard use ?

I do. I have a cheap lighted reticle scope made for a 22lr on it. Mine is air piston and makes a pop even with its built in suppressor but its definitely not anywhere close to even a 22lr in decimal levels.

These are the pellets i run. They knock em flat with well placed shots and they dont get too far even on bad placed shots.

I have the model 350 in .22, that thing is a beast.

Have a green laser on it and took the time to sight it in perfectly. I can head shot those suckers every time, and it's got the power to blow them off the tree.

Absolutely still quiet enough for the back yard in suburbia

Get you one in .25 cal and buy a decent airgun scope with adjustable parallax. Integrated suppressor and is an absolute small game killer up to 100yrds.

OB delivers. First response was a 700 badass. The last was 560. For a damn pellet gun. My tika 7-08 plus decent scope was around 700.

OP get a decent $150 pea shooter and start killing. All you need to start hunting. I'm at war with those tree rats right now for my wife. One chewed her new patio furniture and it's war. I intend to win.

You went out and chewed on the corners of the cushions, blamed it on the squirrels, just so you could have full permission to combat the fuzzy jerks without guilt…

I've had multiple wars with those rats. First I've got the pecan tree. I killed a dozen and still have never got a damn pecan to hit ground in 15 years. I lost.

I have shot more getting in the attic. I'm losing but got a new plan. Fox urine soaked tennis ball. So far a draw.

Now it's the patio furniture. I got orders from the boss no rats allowed on her patio. I'm winning

Benjamin Maurader .22 or 25 cal . I killed 20 in a weekend when I lived in Houston.

Has a 3000psi reservoir so you get 10+ shots per fill. Can charge it up with a modified bike pump.

I'll second this one as well but Do Not buy it for the "whisper" part. Loudest friggin pellet gun I've heard.

Northern Tool used to have chinese under-lever .177 pellet guns for $25 or so. I got one and put a cheap Academy .22 scope on it. I was dropping squirrels all over a large 3/4 acre lot. Get the "hollow point" pellets, it makes a significant difference. (sounds like a little baseball hitting a little catcher's mitt!)

My greatest war with them was 15 years ago. They chewed a whole in the top of my trash can, and they'd raid it.

One day my wife, who generally opposes violence, went to throw trash out and one jumped out at her when she opened the lid. Scared her to death.

When I got home, she said "kill them all, whatever it takes". That's when I upgraded the hardware and went to war. By the end the body count was incredibly high, and I swear the survivors started avoiding the trees in my yard. The word got out.

Back in the glory football years 90-95, the video team would keep a whiteboard on pigeon kills. There was also a hawk you would see take them out regularly. They used a pellet gun and a few of the players participated as well. Maty had by far the most kills.

I'd like to personally thank you for sharing this video. This dude is great and tells a good story too.
