I have some damaged trees and looking for the value of the trees. I'm looking for rough estimates per 1" diameter. Thanks

Probably want to consult an arborist.

If you are looking to receive damages then tell the company/insurance adjuster you don't want money you just want them to replace your lost trees with ones of the same type and size.

When he says that's too expensive to do, that's when you talk about price.

One thing I have learned is never **** with trees. They will ruin you financially

1" diameter?

That's gonna be pretty small trees (10 gallon or so), ~$100 each; $150 planted?

Doesn't work like that.
A 10" caliper tree is not 10X the price of a 1" tree.

Thanks for the advice. Avg tree is 10" in diameter. The trees are in a creek bottom on ag exempt land. Not sure if that makes a difference in pricing since they aren't ornamental trees.

Hire an arborist for an estimate, get a lawyer, and take 'em to the cleaners.

Edit: time is of essence and take pictures

What county? Our family company has done tree damage valuations for about 25 years. Dad does them, Ag Forestry class of '78.

Not ornamental does make a difference, so does location within the landscape, timber value (if they are marketable species and in a marketable region) ecological function, aesthetic value, etc., all factors in a value calculation. As a poster above said, sometimes damaging the trees can be very costly.
