How long do you want to ignore this user?
Bought an old Mac tools toolbox setup from a guy for my barn. Wondering if I should try to degrease 40yrs of use and pressure wash or leave as is. I like the old school look. Goes well with my 1994 Snap-on pinup calendar….

That's awesome. I'd probably leave it as is and maybe just clean out the drawers. I don't think cleaning the outside is a bad idea, though, if you want to.

I think that's what the calendar is for.

Leave it as is. I'm not being mean, but if you need to wash it so that it stays clean, you probably didn't need to buy it. Lol.

I used to try to keep everything clean but if you work on enough stuff that dirt becomes a patina. Display it with pride.

I would pressure wash it inside and out, grease the bearings and tracks, put in new drawer liners and put her back in service.

My dad has one of toolboxes from when he was a mechanic back when I was younger, and he still has his 1987 swimsuit calendar hanging.
