I haven't been to a game in quite some time. I always have a pocket knife with me. It is like grabbing my keys, wallet, and a watch. Are pocket knives allowed inside Kyle Field? I'm going to the ULM game next week.

I don't know the policy but unless you find out for sure, I'd leave it behind. You may be hiking back to leave it somewhere secure or have it confiscated and sold on eBay.

I don't know how big your pocketknife is, but I don't know the last time I was in Kyle without a 4" trapper in my pocket and I go to most home games. I don't know what the fine print rule is but no one has ever asked about it. Also, although I've never seen a man asked to empty his pockets, clear bags for the ladies is strictly enforced. If it is on your belt and visible YMMV.

Pocket knives are allowed.

I know they talked about metal detectors a few seasons ago but there are none at the northwest entrance.

Yep. None on north end.

Now they do say no tobacco of any kind but if they think I'm sitting through an Aggie game/season season without Copenhagen they are just mistaken.

Since the banning of knives is for the safety of others, I don't think Kyle Field would raise a fuss. Ags don't want to hurt others. Now, I did hear folks last year during the game say "kill me now" and "this game makes me want to punch myself in the face" but there was no Ill will toward fellow Ags as we share in the misery at times. All personal and self harm only. Good bull stuff.

A couple of times that my father in law has come to games with me, he's just buried the knife in the rocks outside of the stadium. He goes and digs it up after the game. Bama fans do strange things.

Pretty sure they'd only enforce it as no smoking or vaping

I used to manage the entry staff at the NW entrance and we never had any rules forbidding pocket knives.

This is going to sound awkward but I got the idea from Richard Marcinko's books where he talks about places that have "security". I did then when I worked for TDCJ and carried my edc into work all the time.
It also helps that you're not exactly walking into the Pentagon here, and the security at Kyle field will be part timers.

If your pocket knife has a clip on it, put it right next to the button on your jeans.......yes there, and walk carefully. If you're not comfortable doing that with your knife, leave it at home.

If they have metal detectors, its normal for one to go off in the groin area and no one is going to pat you down there. Act like you're in a hurry and keep moving forward. Tell anyone that you're going in with to not stand around being chatty. Security there is also going to be trying to move people forward as fast as possible so act like you're trying to hurry for their benefit.

As soon as you're inside the gate, excuse yourself to the bathroom and go put the knife in your pocket. ALL the way in your pocket, not by the clip where a cop or someone can see it.

If they make you lift your shirt, do so with your hand over your hand in front, then turn around without being asked. Trust me here. They won't expect you to have done that. Make direct eye contact with the security person and say, "Good?". Say it with authority, not like its a question, and keep moving.

Any place with legit metal detectors, like airports or legit government facilities, I wouldn't try this. Anything south of that, I've done it hundreds of times.

There's literally no reason for all of this. Pocket knives are allowed and there are no metal detectors.

I've never thought twice about going in with my pocket knife, it's on me everywhere I go.

Or just keep it in your prison wallet and save all that trouble.

That's pretty standard at most venues.

Good advice.
In low threat areas the main goal of part time security is to keep the line moving.
You smile & appeared to readily cooperate so you profile out as a "good guy".

Also FYI - if they're not making any people remove shoes then the detector is set high enough to avoid false alarms from metal arch supports in shoes and boots. Not that you could be easily walking with a knife under your foot.

Same here. Went to an Astros game 3 or 4 years ago with my pocketknife in my pocket. They DO have metal detectors. Stuck the knife in my tennis shoe and walked through with no problem.

This post has an unusual amount of "over the top dramatics". Carry in your pocket knife, sneak in your whiskey. Just don't let a Karen see you. They will turn you in and cause the problem.

Just my slightly inebriated opinion.
