I haven't been to a game in quite some time. I always have a pocket knife with me. It is like grabbing my keys, wallet, and a watch. Are pocket knives allowed inside Kyle Field? I'm going to the ULM game next week.

Pocket knives are allowed.
I know they talked about metal detectors a few seasons ago but there are none at the northwest entrance.

Yep. None on north end.
Now they do say no tobacco of any kind but if they think I'm sitting through an Aggie game/season season without Copenhagen they are just mistaken.

Or just keep it in your prison wallet and save all that trouble.O.G. said:
This is going to sound awkward but I got the idea from Richard Marcinko's books where he talks about places that have "security". I did then when I worked for TDCJ and carried my edc into work all the time.
It also helps that you're not exactly walking into the Pentagon here, and the security at Kyle field will be part timers.
If your pocket knife has a clip on it, put it right next to the button on your jeans.......yes there, and walk carefully. If you're not comfortable doing that with your knife, leave it at home.
If they have metal detectors, its normal for one to go off in the groin area and no one is going to pat you down there. Act like you're in a hurry and keep moving forward. Tell anyone that you're going in with to not stand around being chatty. Security there is also going to be trying to move people forward as fast as possible so act like you're trying to hurry for their benefit.
As soon as you're inside the gate, excuse yourself to the bathroom and go put the knife in your pocket. ALL the way in your pocket, not by the clip where a cop or someone can see it.
If they make you lift your shirt, do so with your hand over your hand in front, then turn around without being asked. Trust me here. They won't expect you to have done that. Make direct eye contact with the security person and say, "Good?". Say it with authority, not like its a question, and keep moving.
Any place with legit metal detectors, like airports or legit government facilities, I wouldn't try this. Anything south of that, I've done it hundreds of times.

Same here. Went to an Astros game 3 or 4 years ago with my pocketknife in my pocket. They DO have metal detectors. Stuck the knife in my tennis shoe and walked through with no problem.HUEY04 said:
I've never thought twice about going in with my pocket knife, it's on me everywhere I go.
