If someone was theoretically looking for flavored moonshine, where would one theoretically look? I've had lemon, strawberry and cherry flavored home made moonshine in the past.

There are actually some options for sale in Specs and other liquor stores. As far as homemade...no clue

If an old woman offers you some apple pie shine, DO NOT DRINK IT!

Lots of options here around East Tennessee. Made by companies and otherwise.

Here's one I get my BIL moonshine from:

Roaring River Distillery in Gainesboro makes some decent products. I like the cherry shine but I'm a bit wary of trying the 110 proof that has only been aged 15 months.

I've only tried real shine a couple times, it was made by a friends great uncle from East Tennessee. I liked the jar with the peaches in it. The line "I run ten mile" from Chug-A-Lug isn't far off, that **** will light you up.

Shine made regular appearance at parties when I lived in Kentucky. Strawberry and watermelon are good fruit flavored versions. Apple pie shine, all jokes aside, was my favorite. Just a lil sip, boys. Just a lil sip.

Need to make friends with folks in Angelina, St. Augustine, and other east Texas counties if you want the homemade stuff.

Unfortunately I can't give you any numbers/names.

We used to make a concoction with the main ingredients being Everclear and apple cider. Can't remember everything in it but we'd put a cinnamon stick in each jar when we were done. It was good stuff. We called it poor man's apple pie moonshine.

Sorry OP. You have to live in those ancient mounds of Appalachia to find the real stuff. None of the swamp dwellers in Houston know how to make shine.

We had a 60 ft tall Harvestore silo back on the dairy. When we cut either corn or maize green silage and filled it up some pretty good "shine" dripped out of the bottom weep hole

Bought a few jars of that when we went to Gatlinburg. Not bad, some of their flavored stuff is pretty good. Not super high on the proof, but it's a commercial outfit compared to John Lee Pettimore's granddaddy.

Cedar Mountain Moonshine out of Cedar Mountain, NC - awesome stuff, but I think you can only get it on site.

Beware the buck-fiddy - it will jump up and bite you!

Yeah, I have no idea what it tastes like. I don't drink. I usually just buy for family.

I have a Pico Brew for beer. They went belly up so now it's a big paper weight. Also have a Pico Still for "extracting hops and other flavors." I've been told it can make 'shine. It's illegal so of course I've never done it.

Completely unrelated to the fact that I own a device cable of making satan's tincture, moonshine will knock you on your arse.

Make your own! It's honestly not difficult. You can make a homemade still for about $100 in parts, or buy a really nice one from these guys starting around $500. They have how to videos to help you get started as well. Something's up with their website right now so it looks like it got sent 30 years forward in time, but they are a legit operation.

I drank some from guys in the Appalachian mountains when I was on vacation, ex wanted to go cheese tasting and asked the locals for their advice. One place had some good stuff, burned like heck, but had a good flavor. The other place tasted like gasoline mixed with antifreeze. Probably what it started off as, someone probably told them gasoline and coolant are both alcohols but failed to explain not the same kind of alcohols that you can drink

We used to make trashcan punch for parties with Everclear, sprite, and fruit punch koolaid with a few cans of fruit cocktail thrown into it. Invariably there was always some girl who "didn't want to get drunk" so "I will just eat some fruit". She was the one who spent the rest of the party in the restroom with her friend holding her hair back to keep it out of the toilet. No matter how much you told them the fruit soaked up the alcohol, they were always "I can't taste it so I will be fine."
