I've follow this guy (Ryan Hall) and he's been pretty spot on so far. It looks like there's a modest chance of the heatwave (which will intensify first), moving away to the north west, allowing us a few days of some more "normal to cooler than normal" temps in central TX around the middle of August.
So maybe we'll begin to see more ash and crusty gray grass instead of molten lava at least for a few days until the next heatwave.
