Buddy has a jammed Marlin lever action. All I know is he said the lever is jammed.

He's a former multi-tour combat medic and knows his way are firearms.

So if he says it's jammed…

I second Bobby in that area.

Stuck levers are common when they are short stroked. If your buddy is capable of some minor repair, he should be able to clear it himself. Should be some Youtube vidoes that show the process. You badically remove the lever, release the bolt, then pry the case rim rearward to free the cartridge.
