I wrench on my own vehicles and do lots of other fabrication type stuff where I need real high dexterity. I keep looking for some gloves that are just one step above a nitrile disposable glove. I want something that is fairly thin and stretchy to fit skin tight, like a nitrile, but is somewhat breathable so your hand doesn't come out soaking wet, looking like a prune.

Anybody ever found something like this?

Milwaukee makes some summer gloves that are rubber coated on the palms and breathable on the back. Usually can find them on sale at the Depot and they're machine washable.

HyFlex is what you're looking for. They are the best glove there is in my opinion.

There are products out there, but I don't have any personal experience with them. One step above disposable nitrile is tough. What I would search for is "nitrile palm coated gloves". This will be a coton glove that has a dipped palm and tips of the fingers coated. Even then you're looking at $.75 to a $1 a pair for the cheapest ones I've seen. Not sure if you'd consider that disposable or how important disposable is to you.

My first thought was ansell hyflex, we use the 11-801 for high dexterity stuff at work. They have a lot of different versions for many applications. These are $3-$4 a pair, but can be used multiple times as long as you're not covering them in oil or fuel.

Those gloves taught me the difference between brake cleaner and carb cleaner; carb cleaner eats all that stuff.

Harbor freight has a 9mm disposable glove. They're super thick and may be what you're looking for. Not like a typical nitrilite glove

Downside of the HyFlex type -

If they get soaked in brake fluid or any kind of solvent and they can **** up your fingernails.

Downside to nitrile gloves is your hands constantly stay wet and that can **** up your fingernails.

Not wearing gloves and washing hands all the time with heavy duty soap also hard on skin and fingernails.

Haven't found a good solution if you need max dexterity other than Latex / nitrile but not wearing them for an extended amount of time.

For the best grip for general use those Milwaukee brand are good fit. HF brand aren't cut that well.
