Went swimming early this morning. High tide, the water was quite clear - didn't go past 8' deep, but completely clear to that depth.

Usually, Miami Beach is fairly devoid of life - the water was much cooler than it had been, as well.

A school of minnows kept following me around, and bumping my ankles and toes.

Any idea why?

My assumption has always been that the think leg hairs are little worms.

The shiners in hill country rivers and lakes do this sometimes. Theory is they see like air bubbles on the skin or leg hairs as prey.

You can't sit in the South LLano River before you feel some shiner nibbling. They like freckles also.

You have fleas!

Theres spas that have you put your feet in a tank and have fish come eat the dead skin off.
