You got me here. Closest thing I can tell is comparing Wagyu cattle epds to other breeds of cattle in terms of they're comparable epds? I'm lost.

No EPD data but confirmation that animal is Wagyu breed, best I can tell.

Looks like he's a 7 year old, 50% Wagyu x 50% Crossbreed bull with no calves registered. The EPDs have low accuracies so I'd not put too much weight into them.

If you're thinking about buying him - get him trich tested.

You are basically buying a 1/2 blooded cross bred bull that is 7 yrs old. Beware

And get him semen tested.

A 7 year old, Craig's list bull is likely just taco meat.

Yep, I mostly read Craigslist ads for entertainment.... seeing the trash that some people call good cattle. I have never bought anything on Craigslist yet. There are some good cattle on there too sometimes, mostly from larger operations.

I have been shopping for a Black Wagyu, preferably polled, for about two years. But I have to hit the right one before I will change my Brangus herd. I hope to retire soon and will be able to spend a little more weekday time in the pasture. So I might consider just about anything....AI, embryo, etc or even buying a couple cows to go with a new Wagyu bull.

Thanks for the replies. I have read a few EPD's before, but do not do it very often. I was close enough to this ad to at least consider it. Nope!
