The wife wants a paella pan. We cook a lot outside and my home made cowboy wok does ok but would be better with a proper pan instead. Anyone have any they like or recommend? I can search Amazon and all but I know someone here has to have an opinion.

And yeah, we are THAT couple that buys our own gifts or buys each others power tools, cooking things, and stuff that many might consider inappropriate or for chores. Lol.

Take a look at De Buyer, Darto and Matfer Bourgeat. Any of those will be great quality.

I have a Cuisinart Non-Stick Stainless Steel Paella Pan and it's been a really good pan.

If you want something real nice, check these guys out. Might be a long wait though.

That's nice but anything over 100 bucks is getting iffy. 200 is a no go. It's a metal pan. I am not the target for "artisanal" cookware. Plus the wife would use it for beating me over the head for spending that much on it.

That one is definitely super duper nice though.

I don't even know what size I usually cooking for up to 6 and we like leftovers.

I have a few pieces of cookware from this brand (Made In) and they've all been good pieces. Send like a quality brand at reasonable prices.

Big old well seasoned cast iron Dutch oven would be good.

Last time I was in Ace Mart they had some that would fit your budget. That is always my first stop when looking for something different for the kitchen.

Here are real ones made in Spain.
I have the 17" SS version and it's fantastic. The regular steel are great too and very affordable.

So Garcima and Machika are also made in Spain and on Amazon. They have some heavy thick ones. How heavy is the la tienda? Is it pretty thick?

We have land out near Paint Rock and that blacksmith shop is super cool. Owners are friends of the family and gave me a nice tour last year. My wife surprised me with one of their big skillets with a handle last year for my birthday. Amazing to cook on.

The Daytripper did a segment on them too.

It's 32oz. Not overly heavy but cooks well. The reason I have Stainless is the ease of cleaning; the regular steel ones create a slightly better rice crust (socarrat) but cleaning them is a pain plus they seem to rust much more than a cast iron pan. I'm sure there are lots of brands that do the same thing, pick one and learn how to hone your skills with it.
