I has a Boat trailer bought in 1990 that hasn't been used in 20 years. Needs new tires, wheel bearings, and running boards. It pulled my 19' Bay boat to help with size. Anybody have an idea how much I should ask for it?

TIA

I sold an old boat trailer yesterday and did some research first. If you have the title, and without seeing pics, probably $300-$400.

I had a 1448 on a galvanized Dilly trailer and a guy offered me $200 for the trailer alone. I turned him down. Ended up selling boat and trailer to another guy for $600

I might need one eventually for my next boat build. V-hull? Title? Rust? Tire size?

You can get a baseline on boat trailers on NADA. From there you'd need to deduct for repairs. A 30+ year old trailer in bad shape won't be worth much. You might want to clean it up and fix it before listing to get anything.

There is always a good market for good used boat trailers. Need this information:

1.) Should have a manufacture tag on it with weight capacity and brand.
2.) painted, galvanized or aluminum?
3.) Tandem or dual axel?
4.) adjustable bunks and bow stop or welded?
5.) Tubing or channel construction?
6.) Overall condition?

When I sold my 30 yr old sportmans galvanized trailer there was quite a wait for a new one. People wanted it just because it had registration and a title. It was going to need new axles soon and it sold quick for $800.
