No, I'm not associated with them at all. I just listen to the owner on the 610 am outdoor radio show on the weekends. Captain Mickey Eastman's show. He interviews him a couple of times a week. But after reading your post, I'm thinking I would go with SGrem. ...cupofjoe04 said:whisperingbill said:

*I don't mean to be offensive if you are associated with Outcast, truly I do not. I'm just sharing my personal experience.*
I really want to like these guys, as the owner and fam are Ag's (I believe). I always see all the monsta fish on their social. I've been out with them twice. Both times were birthday trips for my son and a few other family members. One time we got completely skunked (in November) except for one 10" flounder hooked at the last stop. The other time we caught about 20 piggy perch near the Pelican Island bridge, and nothing the rest of the day (and that trip was one they rescheduled as they had to cancel the one I had booked).
The guides were very friendly and had fun making jokes. But they seemed young and green as far as fishing and guiding. Neither time was I offered really an apology or any sort of incentive for booking a future trip to make up for a very expensive and pretty disappointing day of fishing.
Not trying to bag on the guys- but those are just my experiences. I've had very slow and bad days with other guides over the years. It happens. I'm not a sour puss about it. But 75% of the guys do something to try and make it right, or go to some extra effort to try and make it a special day regardless of the poor fishing. At least they clearly bust their butt trying to get the kid on the boat on some sort of fish. My experience with both Outcast guides was that they decided what spots we would hit before the trip started, and seemed content to just sit and soak bait in the same couple of spots while trying to be entertaining. Neither time did the owner or person booking trips (who was the owner's Mom at the time) ever follow up with me to see how the trip went or if we had a good time. It appeared they were too busy posting on social about all their other successful trips. They are VERY good at marketing, I will give them that.

Where do you run out of for Jetty trips? And do you do any night time charters? I am looking at doing a fishing trip out near the end of the North Jetty in September (weather permitting obviously) to honor the 20th anniversary of my dad's passing. He and I used to fish the north jetty a lot and one of our favorite things to do was go night fishing on the gulf side of the North Jetty in late summer. We scattered his ashes out where the rocks break up at the end of the jetty and I would love to spend a few hours fishing out there again.SGrem said:

Howdy! I will address some of the questions here:
Yes I am a full time guide since 2014. Part time occasional guide since 2001. I fish 180-250 days a year and guide duck hunts another 20-40 or so. I get booked for numerous tournaments year round up and down the coast.
I trailer my 26ft bay boat up and down the coast. As I live in Alvin I fish mostly out of the Galveston/Freeport area. But do trailer to POC, Rockport, Corpus etc. Won two tournaments out of POC last year. Had a house in Rockport so fished a lot down there as well. Get booked for several tournaments clear down to Port Mansfield every year. So....properly funded..... yes happy to make your trip as needed.
Can happily fish your memorial trip for your Dad. Yes boat has forward light bar for navigation and spreader lights on the TTop for fishing operations at night. Also have radar for safe navigation. Additionally I am very familiar with the waters you describe from the dike to end if the jetties. Would launch near the end of the Texas City Dike for jetty trips.
Let me know any other questions. Happy to help. I fish inshore, near shore, off shore, wade, drift, bait or artificials.
