Howdy, TexAgs!
My name is Chase Colston. I'm a co-founder, co-owner, and the promoter for Troubadour Festival, A Texas BBQ & Music Experience, that is coming to Aggie Park on Saturday, May 20.

I started our company with my best friend of more than 30 years (he shares a name with a popular Texas Country artist and is Class of '09) in May of 2021. We grew up in Bullard, Texas (near Tyler) together, went to kindergarten through 12th grade together, been in each other's weddings, and in general have shared in a lot of walks of life together now more than ever.
Before being laid off, I spent the previous near decade working for a major media corporation, where I created and produced an event called Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in Tyler, Texas, for more than six years. A little pandemic came along and threw the live events world into chaos. I was furloughed for a year before eventually losing my job completely. The next thing I knew, the event I built and produced for six years would no longer be a part of my life.
During my time off, though, my buddy Cody Johnson (there's that Texas Country reference) and I began having conversations about doing a barbecue and music festival on our own. Long story short, one night (after maybe a few too many) we decided to pull the trigger and dive right in.

We did our first Troubadour Festival in Celina, Texas, in November of 2021 and have done three more since. In addition to Celina, we also did events in Georgetown and Tyler (my first show in our hometown in more than three years) in 2022. For 2023 we decided to fully invest into two events, and after many conversations with a lot of great folks in the community, we landed at Aggie Park to go along with our original festival in Celina.

I can't begin to tell y'all how stoked we are to bring Troubadour Festival to Aggieland. We've got 34 of the most incredible barbecue joints from across Texas as close as College Station and Brenham to as far away as Lubbock coming to town.

We'll have live country music for nearly 12 hours on two stages, with Midland, Shane Smith & The Saints, Charlie Robison, Uncle Lucius (my personal favorite Texas band of all-time), and Treaty Oak Revival on the main stage.

When I say this experience is something you'll never forget, I mean it. We do everything we can to make this event memorable. We are a two-person company. We do this for ourselves and our families we're not LiveNation, AEG, or some other huge conglomerate. We're a small, family business and we hope you join us for a killer time on May 20.
Tickets are on sale now HERE, but leave a comment with your favorite Texas BBQ joint and you'll be entered to win a pair of BBQ & Music tickets to Troubadour Festival at Aggie Park.
We hope to see y'all at Aggie Park this May. Cheers!
