I think that depends on what you consider affordable.

Preferably less than $5k, but no greater then $10k

Just a guess, but I would be willing to bet there are lots of good options in your price range. I just don't know what they are.

They need to put tracer rounds on those drones, didn't see a single shot they fired...

Autel Robotics makes an affordable thermal option, but they discontinue servicing their models after a couple of years forcing you to upgrade if you have any problems.

So…. What about putting one of those suppressed 45 cal air guns on one…

I have a couple and enjoy them quite a bit over the DJIs that I have also had. Haven't had to ever service. My Autels never forced me to update the firmware as the DJIs have.

I've used a thermal drone for a couple years now and consider it an invaluable tool. It also is helpful locating downed kills that would otherwise be hard to find and has bailed me out on a couple of occasions.

That's a great idea for a side business to consider over using tracking dogs
