Looking to buy a meat grinder and do not want to spend the money on a used Hobart,

Would like to hear your pros and cons of each or if you can recommend another brand. I want at least 1.5 hp,

I bought the Cabelas brand several years ago. It's been working great. Although I'm only running 2-2.5 deer through it a year.

3/4 JP or better, but don't forget to buy the on/off foot pedal. It's a must if you're grinding by yourself.

No complaints with my carnivore. Have done half a dozen elk plus nilgai, deer, etc. Regularly grind over 100 lbs at a time with no issues.

Any of them are foing to be good. Probably all made in the same factory anyway.

I have a LEM, only complaint is i wish i had bought more HP. Other than that, solid as hell, plates and what not are easy to come by, all stainless for easy cleanup.

I bought a Pro-Cut a couple years ago. Handles everything I throw in there. Wife likes it, and she is used to using commercial meat grinders.

Thanks everyone. Meat Your Make is out or stock or else would have jumped on it. Schmelba99, I fully agree with your assessment. Rather have more hp than I need. I will wait for Black Friday sales and see what comes up.
