How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm wanting to get a nice wooden gun cabinet for my office at home. My research has led me to something like the link below.

https://usaguncabinets.com/12-gun-cabinet-drawers-oak.html

I also tried searching Texags threads, but they seemed to be focused on metal gun safes and I'm wanting a cabinet. Any thoughts on the one linked or any other recommendations?

Thanks.

I've seen lots of the old style ones at many antique and junk stores around central Texas for cheaper than that by at least 1/2. You may want to look around some, unless your heart is set on that one.

Thanks. My heart is not set on this particular one. I just didn't really know if there were good recommendations from those in the know on the Outdoors board. I am completely open to any suggestions. I'll take a look around antique stores too.

I have one that I keep some of my lower-value/heirloom guns in that is almost identical to that. I'm a big fan of them.

Mine was my grandfathers though, so I'm not much help with finding one

Contact agrams and have him build you a custom one. It will cost you 2-3 times as much, but will be 10 times more badass.

Oddly enough I don't recall agrams ever posting a gun cabinet (if he has I probably just missed it). Although I'm sure he'd love to make us all one!

I always like the one in Mayberry.

Yes, that is Jack Nicholson

I have one similar to the op that we got my dad from Facebook marketplace and we paid 250 for it.

Check Facebook. Lots of these get dumped on the regular.

Just for the sake of opinion, we had these growing up but as an adult, I prefer a full on safe for guns. I'm not a huge fan of displaying my goodies, especially in something that Is simple to open and divest of contents. A nice safe, like Pedro, offers you its protection and still displays a nice piece of furniture.

You did not ask for opinion, but just wanted to throw it out there in case it didn't occur to you. Gun cabinets definitely look nicer and classier.

This is the way. This is the ONLY way. That dude builds amazing stuff, and can hook you up with anything you can dream of. He has built several pistol cases for OB'ers I believe.

Opinions are welcome. That's why I started the thread. If I ever get to own my own piece of land I'll have a nice safe for that at the ranch where I'll put my frequently used guns. The cabinet is more for the display and keeping of some infrequently used and family guns.

And yes I understand if there are some sentimental/family guns there is an argument I should keep them "more secure." My dad has had a cabinet since before I was born and I've always wanted one for myself. It's a nostalgia thing.

Sign up for the HiBid auction site and set your alerts for areas local to you. I see these pop up pretty often for cheap at estate sales that are run through HiBid.

I used to have one but got rid of it bc it doesn't actually keep guns secure
