There has been a truck parked behind my property for at least 10 days. It doesn't belong to the neighbors and we can't figure out who left it. Is there a way to find a vehicle owner just by the Texas license plate?
We looked inside and didn't see anything suspicious, it's just an odd place to leave a truck.

May be stolen and ditched. Call the stolen vehicle task force. Same thing happened on my street months ago and it was stolen and ditched after the tools/welder were removed.

I would report it to the PD or SO for sure. May be connected with a crime.

The truck is not listed as stolen.

My truck was stolen in 2017. The punks left it over night in a neighborhood in San Antonio. I got it back because someone called the police to check on it.

Call the police. We had a truck stolen from our parking lot here in Pleasanton. Figured is was most likely on the other side of the border in a few hours and was long gone.

10 days or so later, it was found in an apartment parking lot in NE San Antonio. Appt. complex manager thought it looked suspicious after sitting there for longer than it should have been and called it in.

The thieves had apparently been using it to steal and store catalytic converters.

Does it run? Maybe you can do like we do for trailers and call up the DMV and tell them you have a home built trailer and get some tags for it!

Tell them its a dodge and you built it in your garage. Give it a VIN of 1.

If that truck was in Houston, it would long since have found its way south of the border.

Hell, just produce some paper plates for it and drive it forever. Tax free!

Call you local law enforcement, tell them you think it's abandoned.

They'll tag it as such, and it's not moved within a certain period (I think it's a week), they'll have it towed and officially declared abandoned.

About three years ago a Corvette with two or three bullet holes and some blood was ditched on my street.
