It's been over a decade since our last puppy. Any recommendations?

Our old lab is on Victor senior weight.

The breeder for one of my labs fed Purina Pro Plan Focus and I've continued feeding that for both labs. I'm sure there are plenty of better options but it's not insanely expensive and it has served both dogs well - including one that hunts.

We use the Victor classic for all ours, puppies and dogs. All seem to do well, miniature schnauzers and one giant. Except for the dump dogs. They get the cheap tractor supply food.

My dog does well on Purina Pro Plan. Went to this from science diet

Both of my labs started on Pro Plan. They're both on Victor now. Never had an issue with either but Victor was highly recommended here and a little cheaper from Chewy.

I love Victor. Believe it is made in TX too.

Fromm for us. We have been through many brands over the years. Fromm is working well for us.

Science Diet for our lab.

This. AgVet on here highly recommends Science Diet Puppy... large or small breed depending. Evident that she damn sure knows what she is doing with her labs.
I do what she suggest.

We feed pro-plan. Has done well for our dogs for years. We will be welcoming a new pup in the next few weeks and will be using pro-plan puppy

Another vote for Fromm. Lots of options for whatever stage of life your dog is in and was highly recommended by our vet.

Please love of God don't do pro plan. Shocked to see how many people here are believers but I had 1 bag that was full of worms and then if you Google worms pro plan this is a common issue. If they commonly have bug infestations, where else are they lacking quality control?

Natures Recipe for big dogs and Purina puppy chow tender and crunchy for the pups. Never heard of Victor and we stopped going over the top with it or getting bent out of shape over it. After a certain price point you're just paying for warm and fuzzy feelings or marketing or both.

Could it just be related to low turnover? I bet you find pro plan in Katy Petco doesn't have worms and pro plan at Big Johns Feed and Earthworm Farm in BFE does.

I've been through hundreds of bags of Pro Plan over the years and never observed even a single bug or worm so it must not be that common an issue.

To each their own, this was our proplan when we were halfway through the bad.

Bought at PetSuppliesPlus in Tomball so I would guess they move food well but don't have any data to support one way or another.

For our dogs we use Chewy and Stella I think is the name, with grains. Been great for us

Pro Plan

Gone through hundreds and hundreds of pounds. Bought off Amazon or tractor supply without any issue.
