The long wait is finally over. Picked up my new Gulf Coast Saber Cat after going boatless for 6 months.

Highlights that the OB will surely hate:

25' - Check
300hp/62 mph - Check
Shockwave suspension seats - Check
But are the seats heated? - Yep
12" Garmin - Check
Multi-color LED courtesy lights - Check
Multi-Color LED speakers - Check
Power Steering - Chexk

Pictures don't even do it justice. Big Shout Out to Gulf Coast on this one.

Is that a rip already in the canopy?

Not even one?

It's going to be hard to pull that thing with the Charger wagon.

Our mutual friend TJ has them on his. I couldn't not have them after a few trips on his boat. My 46yo back is a big fan

I was looking for something to nitpick. Yours is a far better choice than my lame joke.

It's getting replaced with a better color match. GC didn't want me to have to wait any longer.

Yep, erego the strategic "$1000" phenomenon.

serious question, what is a boat like this even used for? All I can think of is for cruising/and cruising to a spot to go wade fish?

No trolling motor, Large T Top/center consul makes it hard to fish more than two people out of the boat unless your just throwing shrimp with a cork.

I thought there was some sort of sweet fish scale graphic on the sides until my dumb ass figured out it was just the diamond plate fender reflection.

I believe the proper term is "panty dropper".

Nice sled!

What does the suspension seat upgrade run? Any maintenance concerns with them? Ive been "building" my dream boat for about 5 years now.

What do you do after said panties have dropped? Throw em a ski rope a tow them behind the boat...cuz there sure aint for room for them on it?

as a fellow boat owner but just an 18.5' ranger center console aluminum boat, I can only think of one word that comes to mind for myself....but I'm sure the vast majority of everyone else on this board....especially the haters and that word is jealous!!!

sweet sweet ride!! Hope my next boat is something similar

I ain't a pro fisherman but very experienced and I only have an 18'5 foot boat. Myself and one other person can fish off the front deck of my boat. Both bass fishing in timber and certainly on the flats.
This boat has TONS more space in front making it even easier. Know what you're doing and the T-top isn't a problem for casting.
So you can easily do 3 folks fishing with one person having the stern all to themselves. If you have 4 folks with decent skills/knowledge you could all fish.

And this boat will certainly go shallow enough that it could drift in many places so a trolling motor not necessary

Nice. I knew Mike Gilley when he first started building GC. We did warranty work with him at his glass shop.
I know after he sold it they struggled because the guy who bought it from him did not know squat about running a boat company. I call on one of their old dealers who had dropped them but just took them back on. Glad to see they are building quality boats again.
Really nice sir.

I have an El Pescador Cat that is setup similar to this and we regularly fish 4 out of it, with no problem.

Cool boat. Personally, I can't see any issue with fishing in any way on it. I mean...it has a motor...it has seats....and a deck...I don't understand the concern for ability to fish or cast, personally.

Seriously, I am not a boat person but is the heated seats thing a joke? This sounds like a steering wheel hand warmer on your open cab tractor. Is there a practical reason for a heated seat on something that you are completely otherwise exposed to the elements on?

How many croaker can you fit in the livewell

Heated seats are probably for wade fishing in the colder months. Any warmth can help.

Cruising and wade fishing is all I need it to do for the most part. In good conditions this will run offshore much better than my JH. The canopy is easy to remove and trolling motor is on a quick release so no reason to have it on the boat while towing

And for the other questions:

Livewell has ProAir and will easily hold 10 dozen croaker

Heated seats were done at cost which was only $100 for the elements. GC wanted to experiment with it so I let him use me as a Guinea pig to see if they could start adding as an option

Shockwaves we're $800/ea

It may not drop panties, but we've had plenty of chicks flats their tits on my friends Saber Cat in the ski canals. Hope that tradition continues

Nice ride! I spent a lot of time on a 22' GC and it was a heck of a boat. Many good times ahead.
