Just your regular, family dinner use, propane grill.

Anybody got any good value recommendations?

Sam's, home depot, etc...

Depends on the quality you want, but I had a Weber Spirit for a while a few years ago and it was a good little grill. Just a straight forward propane grill without any bells and whistles but it didn't fall apart on me. They're going to be a little more than just your cheapo grill from Walmart, but really depends on what you're looking for.

I went from a cheaper Char Griller propane grill to a Weber Spirit II last year. I cooked a lot of great meals on the Char Griller, but it rusted out within a couple of years (in addition to having the grates/deflector things replaced twice in that time). I can't recommend the Weber enough; for reference it gets used at least 1-2 times per week and has been rock solid.

I think the Charbroil 4 burner I have now, I got at heb for about $200. It's been good for 4 years, just on its last legs...

If $200 is your budget then jk on the Weber Spirit.

No, not at all, that spirit looks good... Willing to spend more just don't need all the extras either...

Thanks!

Char-Broil at Lowe's is hard to beat for the price.

I'd get a Blackstone flat top grill, but that's just me. I use it way more than my other grills.

Get on FB Marketplace and get a used Weber. Tons available. I rehabbed 3 of them for my college aged sons and BIL and and they all turned out great
Replacement parts are readily available for all models.

I love my Blackstone. The inside stove and my charcoal grills are just collecting dust now

If you get a Weber replace the crap "flavorizer" bars (deflectors over burners) with some SS ones off Amazon.

They are some coated steel shapes that are very rough and just collect grease/grime and catch on fire all the time. I hated my Weber Spirit until I replace those cheap deflectors.

I like the Blackstone, but I'm not a fan of cleaning it. A grill is just a few scrubs with a brush, then when you light it up again, a few more scrubs.

The Blackstone is pretty easy to clean. Scrape when it's warm - easy peasy.

I recommend cheapest cast aluminum grill you can get. Mine's going on 18 years now. I've replaced the deflectors, but nothing else. I have a 4 burner, but I've only every used more then two burners a few times to cook for a tailgate. My next grill will be 2 burner if my current one ever breaks.

LOL, no way. That has not been my experience or any youtube video I've ever watched. You have to scrape it, squirt it down with water, scrape it again, reapply oil and wipe it down with a crap ton of paper towels, all while using gas. Then you have the bin of oil/junk in the back you have to deal with. I never use paper towels, water or oil to clean a grill.

Also, so you live where it is humid? My seasoning flaked off in spots and rusted. I had to fully scrape mine fully down and re-season it because of rust. I had to use a bunch of gas, oil and a roll of paper towels to do so and it was a PITA.

I have a brand new....sort of Nexgrill from home depot. Never used, never hooked up. It blew off the front porch twice, so I never got it working. The cover blew off too so it has not been covered so it looks old. Cover, ground pad, full tank (from the sams vending machine) tool set, fish basket, hot hand glove, fire extinguisher, gauge, stainless grill scrubber....I think that is it. 200.00

This.
I just bought a 2 year old 3 burner Genesis for $100. Earlier this summer I got a 2 burner Spirit for my daughters condo - for free.

I agree with zooguy. Unless I cook fish, I just scrape it off and shut it down. As far as the seasoning flaking off it sounds like you didn't have it seasoned correctly to begin with or don't use it often enough.

We have a BGE but use our Blackstone 4-5 times a week now and love it. My gas grill is currently used for storing grilling accessories and hasn't been used in a couple of years. Hell I'll give it to a good Ag in the Hill Country if they want it.

Yeah, I just scrape and go. No need for the water, etc. Mine is seasoned well. It gets used for tacos.

I use a Weber Q with a stand. Not the best cooking grill, since it is designed for camping/tailgating type events, but it is good for just chicken breasts and burgers. Has hot zones, but works well for fast cooking food. Great quality from weber.
