I recently inherited an antique shotgun from my grandfather. It's an H. Pieper 10 gauge double barrel and in pretty poor shape. My grandfather, class of '50, couldn't remember anyone ever shooting it, and he was 93. Unfortunately he passed away this week, and I first laid eyes on the shotgun last night when I traveled back for the funeral, so information is kind of sparse.
I'd like to get it checked out by a gunsmith that works on antique shotguns, preferably someone within 100-150 miles of either Victoria or on the front range of Colorado. With the eventual goal of being able to use it, even though that seems far fetched. Any recommendations?
I've got an Imgur album, but apparently sharing that is now a premium member thing.
