You can get a portable refrigerator/freezer to lug around.

This is a common permanent fixture in the back of a lot of Jeeps. Isolated dual battery setup will run one indefinitely if the vehicle moves appreciably every ~two days or so.

The Aussies have been over landing with those things for a decade now. Seems like a lot of cost and weight to keep food cold, when it is much lighter and cheaper to just bring food that doesn't need to be kept cold and live on that a few days.

A $2.00 bag of ice and a $20 Walmart cooler be a little cheaper.

There's a package of Impossible Meat in the freezer in one of the product pictures. Now I can't buy this on principle.

National Luna Dual Control

I have a National Luna that is similar. They are used in Africa to transport medicine. Mine has 2 different compartments that can have different temp than the other side. I use one as a freezer and the other as a fridge. My Goal Zero battery pack can run it for a few days. I charge it and plug it into my car when driving.

A) Their website looked goofy on my phone, so I couldn't see the temp range

B) About the same money as the Engels we have at work, which also work as freezers.

I have a smaller version for when we go camping or traveling in general. Worth it.

SnoMaster

There are a bunch of 12/24v fridges designed for vehicles. My Dometic also has an AC power plug. We'll load it in the house, then carry it to the truck.

Never have to worry about ice or food spoilage, and the solar panel on my truck will run it (almost) indefinitely.

The downside is they're not cheap - so they're not for everyone, but if you spend a lot of time camping or in remote places, they've very handy to have.

I had a 2011 Ford Flex that had a built in fridge in between the rear seats. Worked well when the car was running but I wouldn't leave anything in there overnight during the summer.
