So the bed of my ranger has taken a beating with farm work, hunting and just overall use. 2019 900XP

Anyone ever done their own flatbed or some variation as a replacement by chance? I would really like to fab one up with a winch against the cab to get animals on it when hunting. I have an actuator and the needed hardware/wiring for making it tilt already in place (up to 1000lbs actuator on its own battery).

Open to ideas, as we have a lot of great minds on the OB.

I've seen several bolt on aftermarket flatbeds and have seriously considered getting one. My Polaris is a 12 Diesel that has been flawless, and not available any longer. Yet another thing that I hate to say it but Canadians did much better than American manufacturing. A friend built a really nice one. I'm not sure my torch capabilities are up to the basic bed cutout.

Right out the gate I get an answer.

The actuator is the best mod you can make on a Ranger if you are using it for alot of bed use.

I rigged a winch up to the bed of our mule - works well enough for the old man to load a 175# deer by himself.

its not a customer bed but Ill snag a pic of it this weekend if you are interested.

No desire for a flatbed, but the winch I installed in my Mule has been a godsend in terms of allowing me to load up game without help.

Just a Harbor Freight 2500 lb winch with a pulley, and it is nails.
