Like the title says, my little brother is getting married this fall and he'd like to go on a weekend long hog hunt. His best man sent out a place that I've never heard of, comes out to about $1,300 a person. Is this reasonable? Is there any places you guys would recommend?

I'd be fine just going to our small place down in Comanche, but we've just got one blind and it's only big enough for about 3 people.

Bachelor party……hog hunt…..I would normally recommend "dirty sock" for something like this

I've got a buddy in south Texas that rents out his ranch and has some great thermal setups for night hunts. I'll DM you his cell if you want to reach out.

Honestly, at $1300/person, call up a high fenced place and go shoot a bunch of axis does and chip in on a buck for the bachelor. Everyone has fun and shoots stuff, bachelor gets a buck and I credit for recommending it.

And to my credit, they'll probably throw in some hogs free or for a very, very small add on.

What he fails to say is that 1,300 includes lodging, booze, hunt, etc. for 2-3 days.

I can verify. Nope. Not yet.

My friends uncle has a awesome set up in south Texas that can sleep 10 guest, has multiple 4 person blinds, high fence and low fence. Can run regular hunts, thermal and night vision hunts. Depending on the time of year also has great dove hunting. Long range steel shooting range. Has been an outfitter for 25+ years with crazy experience and stories. Awesome spot and guy to run hunts for bachelors party.

Did my batchelor party at ox ranch. It was a very good time. Hog hunting was kinda a side event but the whole place is very cool.
