Did that a few years ago, everyone I sold one to knew I was making a good profit but they didn't care.

I have one of the Radicals I keep in the ranch truck, and it's always gone bang without any issues. I think that is about what I paid three or four years ago for it.

Picked up an upper last week. Apparently PSA hasnt got the memo about inflation.

Just to not start a new thread, what experiences does this board have with the AR Stoner branded name guns from Midway USA?

So the only thing about the stoner brand is that a lot of the stuff is Bear Creek.

Ok, and I just looked at the Radical and it's hard to tell much about it. As for an investment gun... yeah, great deal. If you're wanting it to actually use, they historically also use a lot of Bear Creek stuff. Now, at some point Radical did start spinning up their own barrels for some of their guns but they still use a lot of Bear Creek. Those have been "okay." Especially for a $400 AR, if these have the Radical produced barrels. I suspect these will be the Bear Creek barrels. If so, just think of it as a gamble on whether it will be decent or not and then know that you may need to rebarrel if you get one of the bad ones. Even then, $130 for a Ballistic Advantage barrel puts you at $530.... a bit more if you want someone else to install for you.. not bad.

Just be aware of what you're getting here.

Anyone know what barrels are used in Palmetto State's complete uppers? Do they have their own line or assemble with another vendor's barrels? Curious how they generally "rate" vs. the manufacturers that Eye Guy referenced.

Palmetto uppers are a mixed bag. They absolutely use bear creek, but they will also use other ones like FN and such. They are a very opportunistic company, so if you do your homework, you can get some pretty decent stuff from them.

Ordered Wednesday. Delivered today.

Looks like it's back up to $600 now. Probably going to see prices increasing, and a run on magazines and parts as Dems keep pushing for bans. Inexpensive AR-platform rifles may gain value pretty quickly in the short term, if there is any movement on the measures the Dems are pushing.

Edit: About 30 minutes after I wrote this I got a call saying the gun arrived at my FFL.

I have a Radical upper on one of my guns. Well, most of it anyway.

Nothin special, but it shoots and I havent had any functionality issues with it at all. Did have to put up with Eye Guy giving me crap but that is normal.

I've had one for several years. Been fine for me
