I know the OB knows things.

Any recommendations for nice hotels/B&B around June 10? We are spending two days in the San Antonio area and want to spend one day in either Kerrville or Fredericksburg during that time.

Also, restaurant recommendations highly appreciated.

Can't recommend any great places in Kerrville. There are several winery B&B type places in Fredericksburg.

In Fredericksburg, I'd highly recommend Chase's Place or Hill & Vine for cocktails and dinner

The Bevy in Boerne is THE nicest (modern) hotel in the area, with a full bar. But there's a long list of B&Bs to pick from.

For authentic German, my favorite is The Altdorf Biergarten on Main Street in Fritztown (F'burgh).

We are local ranchers out by Harper. When we have folks visit the ranch we take them to three places in Fredericksburg...... Cabernet Grill.....August E's.....and Mamasitas.
When I take the wife on Anniversary is Cabernet Grill or August E's.
Drive to Llano and go to Coopers BBQ... Legendary for lunch.
Hampton Inn in Kerrville is good. Also in Fredericksburg. YO Hotel in Kerrville is good also.
Lots of good BB's in Fredericksburg of course.

Visited Hill and Vine for lunch and Cabernet Grill for dinner in F-burg last weekend and both were very good. Make reservations well in advance. I prefer the YO in Kerrville. Never stayed in F-burg, but certainly appears that it soon will have some nice new places based on the construction underway.

If you don't mind staying a little out of town I'd say check out the Full Moon B&B. Right down the road from Luckenbach. Owners live/stay on the property, and he has his own bar (barn) in the back yard. If your up for a host treating you like family, they go above and beyond. We go out to there just to pop in to his bar from time to time and hangout with the guests.
