I melt beeswax in food grade mineral oil. When it cools and sets up, I use it as a paste, leave it on the board for an hour and wipe off. I also use this combo to coat my high carbon blades after cleaning. 1lb flaked beeswax per quart of mineral oil
I use the boos block oil rub it in and let it set every couple weeks...wipe off access after 4-5 hrs. I use their salve/cream once a month for a deep condition and it looks brand new after 10+ years. If I can just get my wife to cut onions in the small block I have it would take a lot less maintenance.
The 100% mineral oil in the pharmacy section for constipation is the same as the overpriced 100% mineral oil in the grocery section. Wallyville has it dirt cheap and it works perfectly for wood boards. Douse em, let it soak, then wipe excess off
